Proust Questionnaire

Recently, I have become incredibly addicted to the Bravo televised program, Inside the Actors' Studio. I think this is partially because it gets to the heart of being a journalist and shows how to properly conduct an interview. B and I have been watching old episodes online; with our favorite interviewees being Conan O'Brien, Gwyneth Paltrow and Dave Chappelle. My favorite part of each episode is the Proust Questionnaire. Basically, at the end of the interview, Lipton poses the same 10 rapid-fire questions. The survey was originally created and published in the 1800's but Lipton has put his own, 20th century spin on it! Over Easter, I posed these questions to my closest family members (though both B and A wanted the opportunity to re-answer after considerable thought). Below are my answers:

1.) What is your favorite word? Written - I think Dorothy Parker said it best when she said "I hate writing, I love having written." I couldn't agree more!
2.) What is your least favorite word? MOIST! I hate, hate, hate it. No matter what you're referring to it just sounds gross.
3.) What turns you on? Someone who's well-read.
4.) What turns you off? Dirty dishes.
5.) What sound or noise do you love? Etta James' Sunday Kind of Love and Louis Armstrong scatting in Dream a Little Dream of Me.
6.) What sound or noise do you hate? A baby crying.
7.) What is your favorite cuss word? Definitely FUCK. It's useful for everything and I tend to use it too often.
8.) What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt? If I had any talent in math or science, then I would have loved to be a medical researcher.
9.) What profession would you not like to do? I would HATE to be the person who plows snow in Chicago. While you'd always have work, it would be grueling. In addition, after watching too many episodes of Deadliest Catch, I think crabbing would suck!
10.) If Heaven exists, what do you want to hear God say as you enter the pearly gates? "Everyone's waiting for you right inside!"

I must ask dear friends, what are your answers? Post them in my comments section or risk being asked the next time I see you! It's become our new party game :)
