Flights and First Days

I would recommend 360 to anyone!
                                                          The best dessert EVER! LOVE!
A view of the habour and the monorail tracks!
B in front of the habour fountains.
I have never found Jerry Maguire to be the most profound of movies. However, I'm reconsidering. Do you remember the scene in the flick where Renee Zellweger's character leans forward and says "First class is what's wrong ... It used to be a better meal ... Now it's a better way of life!" True! So insanely true! I have never given this much thought until our 15 hour flight to Sydney. First class is made up of individual cocoons ... no wrestling for the arm rest here. They have different meals, different movies, different bathrooms and PRIVACY! Moreover, there's no one leaning on your legs the entire trip. Note to self ... it's definitely worth the extra money for a trip that long. Aside from that ... B and I are happy as larks to be down under. After arriving yesterday morning around 8 am - we took a pre-organized shuttle to our hotel which is located in Darling Harbour. Our room has a spectacular view of the water and the boats that occupy it. We were so taken with the area that the latter part of the afternoon was spent walking through it. There was a Latin music festival going on while we were down there with loads of food booth and live concerts.  After a little exploring (of the harbour and the outdoor market paddy's), we returned to our make-shift home to change for dinner.

Dinner was an amazing treat. We ate at 360 - the Sydney Space nettle. While the food was good - the views were outstanding. In fact - the room is called 360 because it rotates throughout the entirety of the meal. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The food was something to write home about as well (in fact ... I did)! B had prepaid for the 3 course dinner which included an appetizer, entree and dessert. B had: Pork loin, duck and potatoes and the cheese platter. I had: scallops, barramundi and chocolate molt cake with peanut butter ice cream and carmel sauce. The standouts were the scallops and my dessert. They're pictured here.

Today's agenda includes a harbour cruise that covers the wildlife conservatory and the aquarium. Here hoping B will get to pet a koala. Much love mates!
